Seeing as we are supposed to have signed this guy, who I read now, was interesting Portsmouth, I found a video of him in action and his goals for Celta Vigo last season:

Anyone seen Di Santo today? As we sign Kamel Ghilas

July 28th, 2009 by kandevil

Today is supposed to be D-Day in the signing of Di Santo on a season long loan from Chelsea, if he doesn’t arrive at Ewood today, it will be off. So has anyone seen the Argentine around the club or even on the M6 on his way?

Franco Di Santo
This deal has always been on the [...]

Big Sam on Russian Mission – Pavel Pogrebenyak?

July 25th, 2009 by kandevil

As Blackburn kicked off against Leeds in their friendly game today, it became apparent that manager Sam Allardyce was not at the game.
This is good news for Rovers fans as it means Big Sam is taking a serious look at a player or players before putting in a bid in.
We know that his self confessed [...]

Treacy heads to Bramall Lane

July 24th, 2009 by kandevil

Keith Treacy has joined Sheffield United on loan until the January transfer window, with the idea being he can get some first team action, to improve himself and be ready to play Premier Leauge football in 2010.
I don’t see him playing in the Premier League again though, I don’t think he is quite up to [...]

Keith Andrews to stay at Ewood, with new contract

July 22nd, 2009 by kandevil

I should think half of the Ewood faithful are happy about this, the other half not so, as Keith Andrews signed a new four year deal at the club today.

Andrews splits Rovers fans down the middle, many thinking he isn’t good enough for the Premier League and a painful reminder of Paul Ince’s tenure at [...]

Rovers 2-2 AS Roma – Brown should stick to playing on pitch

July 17th, 2009 by kandevil

Blackburn put in another solid pre-season performance against AS Roma, where it, again was just a case of getting players some match time.
Blackburn vs AS Roma Line-up
In the first half Rovers lined up: Brown, Jacobsen, Samba, Givet, Warnock, Grella, Nzonzi, Andrews, Gallagher, Roberts, Diouf. Whilst the second half saw most players replaced to become: Brown, [...]

Jason Brown is the new John Barnes, Rovers 4-0 Cambridge Utd

July 16th, 2009 by kandevil

Rovers had a comfortable first pre-season run out against Cambridge United on Tuesday night, but it was more about fitness than the result. Big Sam elected to give no players more than 45 minutes in the game, which meant Rovers had used all of their outfield substitutes when Keith Treacy was injured with ten minutes [...]

Transfer News

June 15th, 2009 by alexrovers

Firstly, thank Lord Aaron Mokoena has gone to Portsmouth! This was the best news I had heard in weeks. He is the most useless uninspiring player I have ever had the misfortune to watch. Sure he can tackle but what else did he ever do.
Then we learnt that Andre Ooijer was leaving. This isn’t that [...]
